Pinwheel Peanut Butter Candy
1 lb Powered sugar
3 Tbsp melted butter (or more if you like)
1 Tsp Vanilla (or to taste)
Milk
Mix all ingredients together, powdered sugar, melted butter, vanilla, and enough milk to make the ingredients to a pie dough consistency.
Roll out like you do a pie crust. You will use extra powdered sugar to roll your dough. Roll thin but not too thin.
Spread your peanut butter on top, then roll up like a jelly roll. Wrap in wax paper and chill till it's firm. Cut into slices, place in container and keep in fridge. Note: You can add Instant Mashed Potatoes in this also. Recipe submitted by: Libby
Stained Glass Window (Candy)
1-bag colored miniture marshmallows
1-stick butter
1-bag peanut butter chips
Melt butter and peanut butter chips in microwave one minute. Mix well, stir in marshmallows. Sprinkle powder sugar on three (16" length) sheets of wax paper. Divide candy mixture into 3 parts putting each part on the wax paper. Roll into log and refrigerate till chilled, cut into slices. Recipe submitted by: Letha
Chocolate Covered Peanut Butter Balls
1-lb. butter
2-cups creamy peanut butter
3-cups powder sugar
3-teaspoons vanilla
1-bag chocolate chips
1-sheet of paraffin wax (See caution note!)
Cream softened butter and peanut butter together. Add sugar a little at a time to make stiff. Form one heaping tablespoon of mixture into ball and place on wax paper. In double boiler, melt one sheet of Paraffin wax, (DO NOT OVERHEAT!), add chocolate chips to melted wax, stirring till completely melted and mixture is smooth. Using a toothpick or dipping utensil, dip balls into chocolate mixture and return to wax paper. Place in containers and store in frige. Recipe submitted by: Libby
(Note: Paraffin wax is flammable if overheated or exposed to open flame! Always melt wax in a pan over boiling water, as in a double boiler. Never melt directly in pan over fire, hot plate or in hot oven!)
Cocoanut Clusters (Like © Russell Stover candy)
2-cups powder sugar
1-cup Eagle's brand milk
4-cups cocoanut
2-cups nuts (chopped)
1/2-lb. butter
Mix all ingredients, chill 2 hours in frige, shape into balls, dip in chocolate, place on wax paper. Recipe submitted by: Letha
Basic Cream Cheese Candy
8oz.-cream cheese
1-stick butter
3-lbs. powder sugar
Mix until
very stiff. Form into balls and dip in chocolate or other flavored chips. Chill.
Variations: Can seperate mixture into several bowls and add different flavors. Add flavoring a little at a time, tasting to strength desired. Can use vanilla chips (adding food coloring) for dipping flavored balls. Experiment and use your imagination with this recipe! Recipe submitted by: Letha
