Seeking Jesus
Are you seeking Jesus?
The bible tells us that no man can come to Jesus except the Father who sent him, draws him. (Jn. 6:44)
If you feel that God is knocking on your heart's door and need to talk to someone about salvation, (repenting of your sins and giving your life to Jesus), we will be glad to assist you in any way we can. The bible tells us in Rev. 3:20, Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. With this passage of scripture we can see that God is there, waiting on you to let him into your heart. In order to receive the free gift of salvation one must first acknowledge you are a sinner. We then repent of our sins and accept Jesus as our personal saviour and be baptized. Acts 2:38, Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. And Ro. 10:9 tells us; That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be save. Once we have repented of our sins and accepted Jesus as our saviour, we will have a joy and peace in our heart that can't be explained. And with this new found joy we will want to tell everyone of our new experience!
There are a lot of what is referred to as the "Sinner's Prayer" and these are good for those that don't know how to pray for forgiveness. However, you don't have to say a formalized prayer, just talk to God from your heart as you would your closest friend. Tell him exactly how you feel. Again the bible tells us that he already knows our thoughts, Ps. 139:2, Thou knowest my downsitting and mine uprising, thou understandest my thought afar off. Ps. 139:4, For there is not a word in my tongue, but, lo, O Lord, thou knowest it altogether. And Job said this: Jb. 42:2, I know that thou canst do every thing, and that no thought can be withholden from thee. So we can see he already knows all about it, we just need to ask for forgiveness and accept him in our hearts. 1 Jn. 1:19 tells us; If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. We hope you have or are making the decision to accept Jesus as your personal saviour. If you wish to say this prayer for salvation, please do so with all your heart:
Heavenly Father, I come before you asking you to forgive me my sins. I believe that Jesus died and shed his blood on Calvary for my sins. I believe that you raised him from the dead, and that he is alive for evermore. I ask that your Holy Spirit come into my heart and live in me. I ask that you make me a new creation, in Jesus' name, Amen.
If you have accepted Jesus as your personal saviour we'd like to welcome you to the family of God! Please share your joy with us by dropping us an e-mail. The first thing you need to do is to find a good bible based church in your area. Visiting church web sites are great but there's no such thing as "cyber-church." So find a church and start attending it, so you can learn and grow stronger in the Lord! Of course if you're in our area we invite you to visit us.
